Lloyd Streicher - Obituary

loyd I. Streicher, 84, of Ft. Washington, MD passed away December 19, 2011 as his family sat by his bed. Lloyd served in the Navy for ten years and then was employed by the Defense Mapping Agency until he retired. Lloyd was the son of the late John Sebastian Streicher and Lucy Hortense Cotton Streicher of Kewanee, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Thelma J. Wright Streicher and daughter, Brenda S. Streicher of Ft. Washington, MD. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kay Fernando of Hawaii in 2007. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Megan Rose Fernando of California and Robyn Joyce Fernando of Hawaii, a grandson, Justin Lloyd Fernando with the Air Force in South Carolina and a great-granddaughter, Kyrie Fernando of Hawaii and many more loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Lloyds Life Celebration on Wednesday, December 28 from 6 to 8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. A committal service with military honors will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
