Lois N. Wood - Obituary

ois N. Wood, 88, a 25-year resident of Annapolis, passed away on July 29, 2018. Born on September 17, 1929 in Pennsylvania, Lois was one of three children born to the late William and Pearl Hughes. She was very outgoing and always looked forward to opportunities to meet new people. Lois was a “founding” resident at the Heritage Harbour condominiums and, most recently, at Brightview Annapolis. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, and enjoyed taking cruises. Her favorite spot to relax was Ocean City. Lois was also was a dedicated volunteer at AAMC for 20 years. Lois had a greater passion though which centered around being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death in 1988 by her loving husband of 35 years, James Foster Wood as well as by her daughter, Cynthia Wood Granito and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Mary) Wood of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Kristin Wood of Frederick and six grandchildren: Daniel, Jessica and Melissa Wood, Francis Granito, and Eric and Lauren Anderson. Friends are invited to celebrate Lois’ life with her family from 11 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 in the Pub Room at Brightview Annapolis, 1935 Generals Highway, Annapolis, MD.
