Loretta Ann Sweeney - Obituary

oretta “Sissy” Coffin Sweeney, a 42-year resident of Edgewater, Maryland passed away on October 10, 2023 in Emmitsburg, MD. Born on May 2, 1957 in Annapolis, MD to the late Dorothy Ann Bryan and Roland Elder Coffin, Sr., Loretta was 66 when she passed away. Loretta loved her career as a daycare provider. When not working, she enjoyed playing Bingo, hunting for and collecting antiques, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, George Vincent Sweeney, Sr., as well as her brother, Roland Elder Coffin, Jr. She is survived by her son, George Vincent Sweeney, Jr. of Taneytown, MD; daughter, Heather Stickley of Walkersville, MD; brother, Henry Thomas Coffin of Bokeelia, FL; and grandchildren, Madison Sweeney, Paige and Briannah Stickley, and Violet and Elliott Tavel.
