orraine C. Vass, age 83, a 20 year resident of Annapolis, formerly of Forestville, MD for many years, died on Thursday, March 27,2008, at Heritage Harbour Health & Rehabilitation Ctr. of natural causes. She was born on April 11, 1924 in Washington, DC and was a homemaker most of her life. She was a longtime former member of Mt. Calvary Catholic Church in Forestville and a current member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. She loved being with her family. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Vass of Centreville, VA. Married on 6/17/50. Mother of Robert S. Vass of Accokeek, MD, John T. Vass of Sacramento, CA, Michael J. Vass of Centreville, VA, Paul A. Vass of Woodbine, MD, Joseph P. Vass of Stafford, VA, Christopher F. Vass of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Theresa C. Montgomery of Deale, MD, Catherine E. Vass of Tracys Landing, MD, Margaret M. Conte of Centreville, VA and Ann M. Vass of Lusby, MD. Sister of the late Elizabeth M. Olewack, Paul, John and James Hardesty. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to Lorraine's Life Celebration at THE GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 31 at 8:30 A.M. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Church, Forestville, MD. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, MD.
