Edward “Lou” Lewis Sutor. III, a 38 year resident of Edgewater, died on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House of esophageal cancer. Lou was 77.
Born March 3, 1934 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Edward L., Jr. and Jessie Sutor, he received a B.S. degree from Hampden – Sydney University in Hampton-Sydney Virginia. Lou co-owned and operated Colonial Florist, Inc. in Annapolis with his late wife Chris, from 1969 until her passing in 2009. Lou continued to operate the business until his illness forced him to retire in June of this year.
An avid reader, Lou enjoyed watching television and feeding the wildlife around his home.
In 2009, he was predeceased by his wife Chris Sutor, whom he married in 1968.
He is survived by his daughter Jadene Payne of Gambrills, MD and his son Brett Sutor of Washington, D.C. Also survived by his grandsons, Scott F. Payne Jr. and Michael S. Payne, both of Gambrills, MD and his granddaughter Taylor Sutor of Washington, D.C., and one great-grandson, Gavin A. Payne.
A private family burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
