Louis R. Cardenas, native son of San Antonio, Texas, entered rest on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the age of 98.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kiki Angelique Perikles Cardenas; his mother, Josephine Ramos Cardenas and his father, Leonardo Cardenas de Hoyos. Although he and Kiki had no children, Louis is survived by his nephews, John Perikles and George Perikles and his nieces Lori Enriquez, Lisa Littleton, and Victoria Bickford.  Uncle Lou was the quintessential uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Whether he was driving nieces to the mall without complaint or driving across several states to bring furniture to a nephew starting a career in a new town, he did whatever was needed for his family.  Louis retired from the Department of Transportation-Federal Railroad Administration.  Previously he worked for the Maritime Administration in Washington D.C.  He was a member of Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Annapolis, Maryland where he resided for fifty six years.  Family and friends are invited to celebrate Louis's life at his funeral on Wednesday, May 7 at 11:30 AM at Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2747 Riva Road, Annapolis. Interment will follow at 2 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD, where Kiki is already resting.
