Jones IV(Menndek Cushe); sister of Marie Wanzer, Marian Brewington, Tina Quinn, Ronald Corum and Michael Brewington, Sr. She is also survived by one grandson, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Ms. Jones' Life Celebration at Grace United Methodist Church, 11700 Old Fort Rd., Ft. Washington, MD on Saturday, March 29 from 10 am until time of service at 11am. Interment Cheltenham United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Please sign the guestbook at: www.KalasFuneralHomes.com Biography of Louise Corinthia Jones Louise was born on September 10, 1939 in Warrenton, Va. to the late Elaine and Earl Parker. During her formative years she resided in Atlantic City, NJ where she graduated from High School. She matriculated to Freedman's Hospital School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree. She successfully continued her education at Mary Mount University in Virginia where she received her Masters Degree. She married the late Joseph Jones III in Washington DC on December 16th 1967. From this union two sons were born, Joseph S. Jones IV (Menndek Cushe) and Garland A. Jones. Louise was employed as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeths Hospital for over 30 years, retiring as a Unit Coordinator. After retirement she taught at Prince Georges Community College, as well as a nurse in hospice care and National Institutes of Health. At the time of her passing, she was working as a Case Manager at Andrews Air Force Base. Her heart went out to the veterans returning with a multitude of physical and mental disabilities. She was a long standing member of Grace United Methodist Church. She had a loving, kind spirit, always helping others in time of need. Louise's love of animals went without saying. Anyone who knew her also knew her home was a menagerie of pets. Powerful and fancy cars were a passion of hers. The Nissan Z series was her favorite. It goes without question how much she adored her sons. She had the opportunity to see them mature, graduating from high school and college. She was an excellent role model, encouraging her sons to achieve and become the best they could be in life. Louise loved to travel. Recently she had the opportunity to travel extensively with one of her sons, visiting places such as the exclusive resort, Atlantis Bahamas, the Grand Canyon, and experience the Las Vegas Strip. She leaves to cherish her memory sons: Joseph S. Jones IV (Menndek Cushe) and Garland A.
