Louise Wood - Obituary

ouise W. Wood, 84, a six-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Upper Marlboro, died peacefully July 10 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 27, 1928 in Upper Marlboro to the late Thomas and Mattie White. After the death of her first husband, Alvin L. Beall, Louise took over management of Dino’s, the restaurant they opened in Suitland, for the next 12 years. Louise enjoyed cooking, dancing, visiting casinos and playing slot machines. In addition to her first husband, Louise was preceded in death by her son, Alvin L. Beall, Jr.; two sisters, Bertha Hill and Dorothy Walker; and stepdaughter, Linda Sue Wood. She is survived by her husband, William C. Wood; a son, J. David Beall of Frankford, DE; two daughters, Phyllis B. Policicchio of Davidsonville and Lisa L. Lephew of Annapolis; a step-daughter, Sherri Passarell of Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Rypel, Jacqueline Segura, Allan C. Stone, Jr., Alex Passarell, Stephanie Camarena, Andrew W. Stevens, Natalie Ellison and Jon Passarell and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Louise’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 15 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
