ucille "Lou" Virginia Lowman, age 89, a seventy one year resident of Annapolis and previously of Baltimore, died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on March 25 of natural causes. Born July 6, 1923 in Baltimore, Lou was employed as a Catalog Department Manager for Sears and Roebuck and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Lucille loved spoiling her children and grandchildren, watching the Baltimore Orioles and playing Bridge at the senior center. In her younger days, she enjoyed travelling the world.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Lowman. She is survived by her children, Donald Lowman of Lothian, MD, David Lowman of Williamsburg, VA, Carolyn L. Riley of Fairlawn, OH and Gloria J. Hardesty of Tracy's Landing, MD; six grandchildren, Michael Riley of Bath, OH, Patrick Riley of Medina, OH, Andrew Lowman of Lothian, MD, Wendy Hardesty Gray of Harwood, MD, Laura Hardesty Steinen, of Annapolis, MD and Lindsay Lowman of Erie, PA, she is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Lucille's Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. James' Parish, 5757 Solomons Island Road, Lothian, MD 20711.
