Lucy Frances Ott - Obituary

ucy Frances Ott, 96, a five-year resident of Annapolis, MD, died at Heart Homes Assisted Living following a short illness. Born July 4, 1928, in Enfield, NC, to the late Ettie Sykes and Frank Vaughan, she worked as a school aide for the Board of Education. Lucy served her country in the U.S. Air Force. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lucy also enjoyed cooking, going out to eat, and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leo B. Ott, Jr. Lucy is survived by three children, David V. Ott of Washington, D.C., Paula (Tony) DiNenna of Annapolis, MD, and Alison (Jay) Lalla of Poolesville, MD; one sister, Joyce (Jimmy) Short of Enfield, NC; four grandchildren, AJ DiNenna of Annapolis, MD, Carina (Sarah) DiNenna of Annapolis, MD, Sarina (Michael) Habat of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Tyler (Mario) Lalla of St. Petersburg, FL; and one great-granddaughter, Kate Blaire Habat. A memorial service for Lucy is currently being planned for May 9, time to be determined.
