Ludivina Roldan Saberon Tamondong - Obituary

udivina Saberon Tamondong, or "Ludy" as she was affectionately known, passed away on March 26th, 2023 at the age of 86. Born on December 27th, 1936 in Sibonga, Cebu, Philippines, Ludy was the daughter of Mariano Pilar Saberon and Zosa Roldan Saberon. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1958. Ludy went on to dedicate 39 years of her life to nursing, where she served as an ICU nurse. Her natural gift for healing and compassionate care brought comfort to countless patients throughout her career. After her retirement, Ludy continued to serve the less fortunate by going on medical missions to the Philippines with her fellow nurses. Her selflessness and kindness will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. Ludy was married to Dr. Hilario Tamondong, Jr. Together they raised three children, Patrick (Michelle), Vincent (Ashley), and Hedy (Daniel). She was a devoted grandmother to ten grandchildren, Kieran, Sydney, Sage, Jackson, Isaac, Tanner, Kori, Charli, Vincent, and Lucas. Ludy was also a beloved sister to her siblings, Nellie, Norma, Luzviminda, Rudena, Vilma, Betty, and Rod. Her memory will be cherished by her loved ones, including many cousins, uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, and friends in the USA, Philippines, and throughout the world. Ludy's unwavering faith and devotion to her church community was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was an active member and parishioner at Saint Columba Catholic Church. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May Ludy rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire us to serve others with love and compassion. She will be forever loved and never forgotten.
