Lynda Kanakry Wilson - Obituary

ynda Michele Kanakry Wilson Lynda Michele Wilson, 39, a 6 year resident of Edgewater and previously of Davidsonville for 3 years, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Sunday July 20, 2008, after a 5 year battle with cancer, Lynda was born October 7,1968 at Bayridge Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in Psychology. She worked as an Office Administrator for Residential Appraisal Service in Edgewater, MD. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, and enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and playing the piano. Lynda is survived by her husband Kenneth Wilson, whom she married August 6, 1994, her daughter Abigail Wilson (age 9) and her son Daniel Wilson (Age 5), her brother Anthony Kanakry of Columbia, MD and sister Barbara Kanakry of Burke, Virginia. Lynda is also survived by her parents Antoine and Gladys Kanakry of Burke, Virginia, and her grandmother Lynda Kanakry of Hollywood, Florida. She was predeceased by her grandparents Joseph Kanakry and Anthony and Josephine Ashroawe. Relatives and Friends are invited to Lynda's Life Celebration on Wednesday July 23,2008 from 2-4 & 7-9pm with Trisaghion prayers being said at 8pm , at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 24, 2008 at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
