ynette Maureen Card, 54, a 12-year resident of Annapolis, MD died at her home on January 7, 2010 of kidney cancer following a 1 year illness.
Born on July 28, 1955 in San Diego, CA, she received her Associates degree in Theatre Arts from Dixie State College in St George, UT. Maureen was a floral designer with several florists in the area, most recently with Flower Follies in Edgewater, MD. She was an instructor in Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. Mrs. Card was an active sister in the Annapolis Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a board member of the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre.
She was the beloved wife of Phillip Card, whom she married on October 26, 1978; mother of Bryan L. Card of Monterey, CA, Benjamin L. Card of Washington, D.C., Russell L. Card of Fort Drum, NY and Megan Lynette Poulos of Arnold, MD; sister of Thomas McCurdy of Layton, UT and Frank “Mac†McCurdy of Phoenix, AZ; daughter of Gail and Joyce McCurdy of Mountain Green, UT. Also survived by 1 grandson, Evan Lucas Card.
Friends are invited to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: Annapolis Ward, 1875 Ritchie Hwy, Annapolis, MD on Saturday, January 9 from 1:30pm until funeral service begins at 3:00pm.
