Lynn Marie Johnson - Obituary

ynn Marie Johnson, 69, a 30-year resident of Edgewater, MD, and previously of Severna Park died peacefully at her home on September 14, 2023. Born on March 1, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Charles Kalkenberg Rasmussen and Margaret Ann Doig, Lynn received numerous college degrees, including a Master of Education from Hunter College (NY), Bachelor of Education and Communication from Adelphi University (NY). She was employed at Trinity University in Washington DC, The Berkley School in Hicksville, NY, and Catholic Charities of St. Agnes Hospital. A social person, Lynn was a member of Mayo United Methodist Church, the Danish Athletic Club, and various education accreditation organizations. She enjoyed reading, tending to plants, and studying family history. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Peter Johnson. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Lynn’s life on Wednesday, September 20 at 11 a.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
