Mae Clegg - Obituary

ae Clegg, 92, an 11-year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, MD and previously of Lancaster, PA, died at her home on July 1, 2010 after suffering from Parkinson's Syndrome for the past four years. She was born on August 31, 1917 in York County, PA to the late William and Nora Campbell, and graduated from William Penn High School and Thompson's Business College. Mae worked for Yorktowne Mutual Insurance Company in York, PA until her retirement in 1981. A member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Freysville, PA, Mae was an accomplished quilter who loved sewing and counted cross stitching too. She was also an Orioles fan and enjoyed following national politics. Mae was predeceased by her husband, Harold J. Clegg, who died in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Davis, and two grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Davis, all of Arnold. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
