On Wednesday, February 3, 2010, the beloved husband of Joyce Scanlon; father of Samone, John Paul and Thomas Patrick (Molly) Scanlon and Kathleen Scanlon (Brian) Britton; son of William James Scanlon, Sr. and the late Louise Pauline Scanlon; brother of William J. (Celeste) Scanlon, Jr., James J. (Nancy) Scanlon, Joan (Joseph) Wolf, Michele (Nick) Marchica and the late Louise Scanlon; grandfather of Ryan Scanlon, Aaron and Luke Britton. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Sheila McOwen and Noreen Vickers and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration on Monday, February 8 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd. Oxon Hill, MD and on Tuesday, February 9 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd. Oxon Hill, MD from 10:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, March 5 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Columba School Scholarship Fund in Paul's memory.
