orris "Mansie" Trott, II, 67, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD, died of natural causes on Sunday, October 22 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on October 7, 1950 in Annapolis, MD to the late James and Gladys Trott, Mansie served in the U.S. Army with the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. He retired from Katcef Brothers, Inc. as a driver and salesman. He then owned and operated Mansie Trott Trucking, and later worked as a driver for Jones of Annapolis. He enjoyed softball, bowling, singing, karaoke and spending time with his family. Mansie is survived by his children, Kim (Paul) Bryant of Deale, MD and Morey (Gidget) Trott of Harwood, MD; his companion of three years, Linda Pearson; his grandchildren, Michael Bryant of Annapolis, MD, Matthew (Hope) Bryant of Fayettville, NC, Andrew and Kelsey Trott both of Severna Park, MD and Mason Bryant of Deale, MD and his two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Raelyn. He was preceded in death by his former wife of sixteen years, Mary Trott. Friends are invited to celebrate Mansie's life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, October 25 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 26. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 8205 Laurel Bowie Rd., Bowie, MD 20715.
