O

n November 2, 2015, Marcia J. BarenBregge passed away with her beloved family by her side. Marcia is survived by her husband of 31 years, Peter of Upper Marlboro, MD, and their three children, Emily BarenBregge, San Francisco; Alex BarenBregge, Reston, VA; and Lisa BarenBregge, Annapolis, MD. In addition, she is survived by her mother Irene Breault, Norwalk, CT; sister Anne Sohon, Shelton, CT; and brother Marc Breault, Stamford, CT. She was preceded in death by her father Jean Marc Beault, Norwalk, CT. She was aunt to three nieces and three nephews. Born in Norwalk, CT, December 15, 1960, Marcia graduated from Brien McMahon High School. She was initially employed by the law firm Slavitt & Connery followed by the Public Defender’s office in Norwalk until she married in 1984. She then relocated to Upper Marlboro, MD, where she was a devoted and loving mother and homemaker. She re-entered the workforce in the educational field by working at Marlton Elementary School as a teacher’s aide then became a certified pre-K paraprofessional, working at the school until her death. Marcia was very active at St. Paul’s Moravian Church as chair person on various boards. She was also PTA president among other community activities. As a paraprofessional Marcia was awarded an Outstanding Supporting Personnel Award in 2007 for her outstanding accomplishments. She was highly respected and loved by the faculty and students alike. Marcia loved to travel and along with her husband Peter, had the opportunity to travel extensively to many states, and internationally to Canada, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Domincan Republic, England, Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand. A memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Moravian Church in Upper Marlboro, on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, 7pm, 8505 Heathermore Blvd, Upper Marlboro, MD, 29772. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery. If attending, please meet at the Administration Building no later than 9:15 a.m. with one's own transportation.
