Margaret Bergmann - Obituary

argaret Ann “Peggy” Bergmann, 86, a 46-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Hyattsville, died on July 11 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on March 15, 1928 in Washington, DC to the late James and Lillian Buckley, Peggy was a real estate agent for the former P.G. Property Company. She also worked as a secretary for Metropolitan Title Company. Peggy was the first female member of the Deale Elks Lodge 2528. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 226 in Mayo and the Annapolis Moose Lodge 296. Peggy enjoyed working crossword puzzles and pizza night at the American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Rudolph Bergmann, who died in 1983. Peggy is survived by two sons, Wayne (Mary) Bergmann of Edgewater and Robert Bergmann of St. Petersburg, FL; and one brother, James Buckley of Owings. Friends are invited to Peggy’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater where Peggy’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16. Interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
