argaret Helen DePaul, 84, a resident of Edgewater since 1975, died on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Villa Rosa in Mitchellville of pancreatic cancer.
Born on January 14, 1928 in Washington, DC to the late Melvin and Helen Selby, Margaret was a homemaker. She was a member of Anne Arundel Medical Center Auxillary and the South County Senior Center. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, crafts, yard sales, shopping and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Francis DePaul, who died on April 7, 1975; two brothers, Thomas and Jesse Selby; and two sisters, Edie Semerdjian and Melvina Marr.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Steve F. DePaul and his wife, Pam of Arnold and Joseph M. DePaul and his wife, Karen of Chesapeake Beach; three daughters, Chris Perkey and her husband, Al of Edgewater, Patricia Cunningham and her husband, John of Edgewater and Sally DiCarlo of Salisbury; three brothers, Melvin Selby of Brandywine, Patrick Selby of North Lauderdale, FL and Milford Selby of Indiana; grandchildren, T.J. and Aaron Gall, Steven, Jeannie, Amy, Emily and Abby DePaul, Charlene and Sherry Perkey, Bonnie and Kimberly Cunningham and Dawn Cage and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration on Monday, October 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 23 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton.
