Margaret Goforth - Obituary

argaret Ann Goforth, “Bunnie” a 25 year resident of Bowie, MD and previously of Hyattsville and Washington, D.C. passed away on Sunday December 15th at Crofton Care Center. Born May 28, 1928 in Washington, DC to the late Francis L. and Margaret Bowersox, she was a graduate of Anacostia High School and worked as a legal secretary for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). Bunnie was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Bowie and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking, shopping and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Bunnie was predeceased by her husband Fred Goforth and her granddaughter Linda Nalls. She is survived by her children, Diane and the late Larry Nalls of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Jeanne Tripp and the late Bob Tripp of Bowie, MD and Don and his wife Tricia Goforth of Lusby, MD, one brother; Gene Bowersox and his wife Mary Faith of Bel Alton, MD and her grandchildren; Chad, Betsy and Stephanie Nalls, Keith and his wife Jamie and Adam Tripp, Kristy and her husband Mike Dionisio, Michelle and her husband Eric Rolens, Christopher and Stephen Goforth and Jennifer and her husband Bob Nicolio. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 20 at 10:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 1940 Mitchellville Rd., Bowie. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the American Diabetes Association, 800 Wyman Park Dr., Baltimore, MD 21211.
