Margaret Higgs - Obituary

argaret F. Higgs, "Mom", 73, of Salisbury, MD died on June 3, 2014. She was born on May 1, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Gordon and Mary Waid. She was a certified nursing assistant and touched the lives of many during the 20 years she spent caring for others at the Edgewater Nursing Home and the Genesis Nursing Home in Salisbury. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Norman R. Higgs, Sr. who died in 1997. She is survived by her four children, Norman Higgs, Jr., Steve Higgs, Timothy Higgs and Sherrie Marie King; two brothers, Bob and David Waid; one sister, Shirley Lent; and six grandchildren, Norman P. Higgs, Benjamin Higgs, Curtis Ray King, Casey King, Kay Goodwin and Vivian Goodwin. Family and friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration from 10:00am until her funeral service begins at 12:00pm on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD. Guestbook is available by accessing the link at the top of this page.
