Margaret Higgs - Obituary

n Monday November 23, Margaret Elizabeth Higgs, of Harwood and previously of New York passed away at Heritage Harbor in Annapolis, MD. Peggy was born on March 19, 1944 to the late John and Regina Larson in Spartansburg, SC. She worked for many years at Wayson’s Restaurant where she enjoyed meeting new people. Peggy also worked for Lonergans Bus Service. She is survived by her husband Charles; her daughter, Regina (Curtis) Nokes of Edgewater; a stepdaughter, Caren (Charlie) Copeland, of Mechanicsville, MD; a stepson Ronnie (Kathy) Higgs, of Mechanicsville, MD; a sister Patricia (Anthony) Pugliese of Yonkers, NY; five grandchildren, Curtis and Robert Nokes, Collin and Carsen Copeland, and Brooke Higgs. Friends are invited to celebrate Peggy’s life on Sunday November 29 from 5 to 7 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Monday November 30 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
