Margaret A. Johnson - Obituary

argaret Ann Johnson was born on October 1, 1957 to the late Ira and Zettie Kitts. Margaret passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Donald Johnson Jr. Together Margaret and Don had 4 children; David, Suzi, Terry and Tera. Through those children they were blessed to become parents to John, Kendra, Ricky, Marya and Cheree. Margaret was preceded in death by her grandson CJ. She leaves her other grandchildren; Jay, Tammy, Desiree, Richard, Lily, Sage, Gavin, AJ, Katie, Ramey, Jessica, Colby, Melanie, Malachi, Gabrielle, Anthony and Kazlyn; as well as 4 great grandchildren. Margaret was also preceded in death by her brothers Ralph, Junior and Bill. She is survived by her sisters Cindy, Lucy and Mamie. Margaret also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones. Margaret was a homemaker for years, spending her days taking care of her husband and household. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and friends. She loved to play bingo, go to the slots and play cards. She enjoyed rooting for her Redskins, eating crabs, and taking walks around the neighborhood. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Margaret's life on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 2 pm until her funeral service will begin at 3pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. Due to COVID restrictions the family will have a private burial at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham at at later date.
