Margaret Klug - Obituary

n December 7, Margaret Kathleen Klug, 91, of Edgewater and formerly of New Carrollton, died at home after a 10 month battle with breast cancer. Margaret was born February 24, 1923 in Washington, DC to the late Leonard and Frances Avery. She was a member of the West River Yacht Club Buoy-Bells. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Scrabble, traveling, listening to music and spending time with family. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Howard Klug, Sr.; two brothers, Joe and Elmer and three sisters, Dorothy, Helen and Pat. She is survived by four sons, Howard, Jr. of Hedgesville, WV, George of Harrington, DE, Steven of Edgewater and Brian of Davidsonville; one brother, Jack of FL; 7 grandsons, Charles Chenoweth, Daren, George, Christopher, Kevin, Billy and Michael Klug; 4 granddaughters, Kelly Brown, Dawn Tolson, Kimberly Toll and Sara Klug; she is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 10 from 6-8PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 11AM. Interment will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
