Margaret Maloney - Obituary

argaret L. Maloney, 88, a resident of Lothian, MD for over 30 years died August 5, 2008 at South River Health & Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater, MD of Alzheimer's disease. She was born August 10, 1919 in Virginia, but was raised in Pennsylvania. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Woolworth's in Forestville, MD and Landover, MD for many years. Her hobbies included crochet and knitting. Beloved wife of George E. Maloney, whom she married on April 23, 1983; mother of Jerry Zinn of Austin, TX and the late Ed Zinn; stepmother of George Stewart of Annapolis, MD, Daniel Maloney of Owings, MD, Richard Maloney of South Carolina, Hank Maloney of South Carolina, Rose Hasson of South Carolina, Maryann Duncan of South Carolina and Sharon K. Schroth of Edgewater, MD; also survived by 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to Margaret's Life Celebration on Thursday, August 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8 at 10am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
