argaret Pfingsten Stallings May 11, 1921-April 9, 2015 Margaret Pfingsten Stallings, 93, lifelong resident of Annapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9. Margaret was born on May 11, 1921, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Turner Stallings (2002), also of Annapolis ; Her son, William Allen Stallings (1963); and her parents, William Conrad (1944) & Ernestine Pfingsten (1968). Her father Will, was a Chief Shipfitter (PA) for the U.S. Navy. Margaret resided in Annapolis for most of her life with the exception of two brief stays in San Diego, CA and Portsmouth, VA. She leaves behind her family, a daughter Marsha and son-in law W. Alan Boehm, 3 grandchildren W. Ryan, Joseph Allen, and Evan Conrad Boehm, and Evan’s wife Heather. Margaret graduated from Annapolis High School in 1938 and an accounting degree from a business school in Norfolk/Portsmouth. She was employed for the G.C. Murphy Company, Royster Fertilizer Company, the MD Department of Forest and Parks, General Business Service, and H&R Block where she served in secretarial and bookkeeping roles. While employed at the MD Forest & Parks Service, she experienced the commissioning of several of the State Parks in Western and Central MD. Margaret was an active and devoted member of the church. She was a long-standing member of St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her family (Heller) was one of its founding members. In later years, she became a member of Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church. Margaret was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, #46 Chapter in Annapolis, and also chapters in Odenton and Upper Marlboro. An internment service will be held at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Crownsville on Tuesday, April 14 at 2 PM. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Annapolis Lutheran Church, 1203 West Street, Annapolis, MD.
