argaret Gale Turner, 80, of Lothian, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2019. The daughter of the late Marvin Dixon and Rosie Ella Hardesty, Margaret was born August 1, 1938, in Annapolis, MD. She graduated from Annapolis High School in 1956. “Peggy” married in 1958 and worked for Nationwide Insurance until the birth of her daughter. She continued working part-time, volunteered at her church and within her community and continued her education at Anne Arundel Community College. In 1986 she purchased a florist and enjoyed working in the floral industry as both an owner and a designer. Her passions were her faith in God, her family, the beach and a belief in enjoying every moment of every day. She joined 1st Baptist Church of Edgewater in 1968 and remained a member until joining Chesapeake Christian Fellowship of Davidsonville in 1994. When asked what was her favorite place she would quickly say the beach. She enjoyed traveling to the beaches of the Bahamas, Mexico, California, and all along the Atlantic coast with Ocean City her go-to beach. During a trip to Israel, she was re-baptized in the Jordan River, walked along the shores of the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, and the Mediterranean and considered the Holy Land shores a very blessed experience. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Suzette; siblings, Marvin Dawson Hardesty, Georgetta Monroe, and Carroll Winterson Hardesty, along with their spouses, two nephews, and a niece. She is survived by her sister, Joy Anne Rolen, and her husband, Jimmy, of Edgewater; her children, daughter, Sandra Price and her husband, Calvin, of Centreville, MD, son’s Michael Turner of Annapolis, MD, Donald Turner of Edgewater, MD, Eric Turner of Harwood, MD and Brad Turner and Mary Vidsens, of Lothian, MD; eight grandchildren, Lauren Haley, of Dallas, TX, Andrew Price of Arlington, VA, Donald, Joshua, and Bryan Turner all of Pasadena, MD, Kristina Turner of Clearwater, FL, Emily Turner of Harwood, MD, Brianna Turner of Lothian, MD; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Margaret's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, May 4 from 11 am until her funeral service begins at 1 pm. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 or St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O.
