Margarita Ramos Galeng - Obituary

argarita “Nanay” Ramos Galeng passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones. Margarita was born on June 14, 1926 in San Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Galeng Sr. and her daughter Maria Teresa Carbonell. She is survived by her 7 children, Alex, Amor, Julio, Nicholas Jr., Emmanuel, Benilda, Orland, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margarita moved to the United States in 1989 to live out the rest of her life with family and helped with babysitting her grandchildren and the kids of close family. Aside from spending time with family, she loved The Price is Right, casino, crossword puzzles, gardening, singing and dancing. Relatives and friends are invited to Margarita’s Life Celebration on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 2 to 7 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
