argarite E. Bezwersky, 80, a three-year resident of Ft. Belvoir, VA and a former resident of Heritage Harbour for 20 years, died October 19.
She was born April 22, 1931, in Queens, NY, and graduated from Queens College with a Master's degree in history. In 1954, she married the late William J. Bezwersky and, after a brief career with the Bell Telephone Company, devoted her life to being a homemaker. Margarite was a former parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. She loved to travel and enjoyed reading and working with children as a school volunteer.
In addition to her husband, who died in 2004, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Saitta.
She is survived by her son, William James (Lisa) Bezwersky; three daughters, Andrea (Joseph) Russo, Marguerite (Matthew) Saitta and Lisa Bezwersky; six grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Christopher and Christine Russo, and Timothy and Emily Saitta; and great-granddaughter, Liliana Russo.
Friends are invited to Margarite's Life Celebration from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 22 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
