Maria Halper - Obituary

aria (Trite) Halper, age 90, of Westminster, MD died Sunday, February 19 in Washington, D.C. at The Washington Home & Community Hospices. She had Alzheimer’s disease. Mrs. Halper was born on August 27, 1921 in New Windsor, MD. She is predeceased by her parents, John B. and Rose Anne (Fritz) Trite. Mrs. Halper is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie (Halper) Kim, her son-in-law, Stephen and their daughters Grace Marie and Mimi Rose, all of Accokeek, MD. She is also survived by a sister, Frances (Trite) Snyder of Westminster. Additionally, she is predeceased by a sister, Hilda (Trite) Harner and brothers, Donald and Carroll Trite. With respect to her wishes, Mrs. Halper will be cremated and her ashes spread over the East River of Manhattan. A celebration of Maria’s life will be held at The Washington Home & Community Hospices on Saturday, March 10 at 2:30 pm.
