Maria Stefko Turner, 34, an eight year resident of Harwood, MD passed away on January 29, 2008.
Mrs. Turner was born Aug. 7, 1973, in Washington, D.C., to Eugene and Mary Ann Stefko of Indian Head. She graduated from St. Mary's Ryken High School in Leonardtown and received a bachelor's degree in education from Towson State University.
She was an elementary school teacher and a homemaker.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Ministry of Mothers Sharing Group.
She loved her children, and her family. She will be remembered for her strong faith, generous spirit and unconditional love.
Survivors include her husband of eight years, Adam Turner; three daughters, Madison, Mackenzie and Rylee Turner of Harwood; two brothers, Joe Stefko of York, Pa., and Tony Stefko of Waldorf; six sisters, Christine Petrik of Bethlehem, Pa., Karin Stefko of Greenville, N.C., Annette Williams of New Bern, N.C., Elaine Aschenbrenner of Tampa, Fla., Gina Costa of Monkton and Linda Greer of Hollywood, Md.; and her grandmother, Theresa Prezioso of Pittsburgh.
Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 825 W. Central Ave. in Davidsonville. Interment will be in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Cemetery in West River.
