Maria Elena Y. Dancel - Obituary

M

aria Elena Yadao Dancel (Marle), beloved wife of Julian Dancel was born on August 11, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Mauro Yadao and the late Palagia Ildefonso and was born and raised in the Philippines. She departed this life unexpectedly on October 19, 2023. She was 70 years old. Throughout her life Marle was a loving daughter and had a close bond with her mother. She was a loving sister to her siblings and a caring aunt to her nieces and nephews. Marle was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Julian for 37 years, and a patient, loving, devoted mother to her son Patric. The friends that Marle met along the way became an extension of her family, and family meant the world to her. As a young woman, Marle’s favorite snack was bananacue that she continued to love throughout her life. She loved eating seafood - especially with her family. Marle is remembered for making the best bitsu bitsu/carioca and biko, which so many of us will miss. Her family and friends always looked forward to the Filipino desserts that she would enjoy making. Marle was a warm, kind-hearted person who enjoyed sharing life, trips, and food with family and friends. She always made sure that others got their food first, and was a gracious hostess to all. Marle is remembered for watching the latest Filipino movie at the local movie theatre. And, she truly enjoyed a good Filipino teleserye. She was a hardworking, dedicated employee in the accounting space and proud of the variety of industries she supported. Marle was devoted in her growing relationship with God and attended daily mass as often as she was able. Marle was preceded in death by her parents Mauro Yadao and Palagia Ildefonso, and several siblings. She leaves to cherish her love and her memory her husband Julian Dancel, her son and daughter-in-law Patric and Liz Dancel, her sister Elvie Lewandoski, her brother Bert Yadao, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
