Marilyn L. Cantler - Obituary

arilyn L. Cantler, 86, a 50 year resident of Edgewater, MD passed away on Thursday March 15, 2018. Marilyn was born on February 2, 1932 in Newark, Ohio to the late Edward and Ina Hiles. She was retired from Nationwide Insurance. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting knitting, reading novels and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents Marilyn was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Alice Cantler. She is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Preston J. Cantler; son, Preston Cantler, Jr of Ledyard, CT; daughters, Pat and her husband Jesse Miller and Jacqueline Avery all of Edgewater; a brother James Hiles of Granville, OH; grandchildren, Michael Stowe, Dana and his wife Dana Miller, Lisa Petrick and Preston Cantler, III; three great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Marilyn's life on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 6 PM until her service begins at 8 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. She will be laid to rest at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on Wednesday ,March 21, 2018 at 10 AM.
