Marilyn S. Harrison - Obituary

arilyn S. Harrison, 79, a 33-year resident of Annapolis, Maryland and previously of Cheverly passed away on June 14, 2026 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on January 16, 1947 at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC to the late Paul and Rea Smith, Marilyn graduated from American University and the Lucy W. Hayes School of Nursing before entering the workforce. Throughout her career, Marilyn was employed by PG Hospital, the National Institute of Health, Ginger Cove Retirement Community, and various hospices and home health organizations. She was a parishioner at Trinity United Methodist Church in Annapolis. Marilyn loved her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Roger A. Harrison; her children, Brad (Allison) Harrison of Elkridge, Maryland and Christy (Eric) Holzberger of Huntingtown, Maryland; and her grandchildren, Andrew (Chloe) Harrison, Ryan Holzberger, Colin Harrison, Nathan Harrison, and Emily Holzberger. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marilyn’s life on Wednesday, June 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. Her funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, June 18 at 11 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1300 West Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment to follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s name to Trinity United Methodist Church.
