Marilyn Eva Wishart - Obituary

arilyn Eva (Parrish) Wishart Lynn Wishart, 94, passed away in Forest, VA on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Born in West Seneca, New York in 1923, she was the daughter of Wilbur & Evelyn (Anger) Parrish. Lynn was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She was married to the late Lt. Col. James H. N. Wishart, Sr. in June of 1942. The 2 traveled the United States as an Air Force Family for 26 years, including serving three years in London, England. Their family settled in Annapolis, MD in 1959. Active in many social groups throughout her lifetime, she was a member of the Naval Academy Club, Hillsmere Garden Club, American Antiques Club of Annapolis, and the Hillsmere Bridge Club. Her volunteer experiences included being a Cub Scout Den Leader, Troop Service Director for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Treasurer and Food Chair Person for the Annapolis Pony Club and a YWCA Book Shop clerk. She was an avid supporter of P.A.L. Football and the Hillsmere Swim Team. Her hobbies included bowling, cake decorating, square dancing with the Annapolis Square Riggers, crafting, crossword puzzles, sewing, traveling and reading. She attended Eastport United Methodist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. James H. N. Wishart, Sr. in 1987 and son, Michael S. Wishart in 2017. Surviving are her three sons, James H. N. Wishart, Jr. of Apex, NC, Donald A. Wishart (Annette) of Forest, VA, Kenneth N. Wishart (Norma) of Annapolis, MD; daughter Linda S. Harris of Huntingtown, MD; and numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 17th at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD from 2 PM until her service begins at 3:30 PM.
