arion Lorraine Fonseca passed peacefully at home in Accokeek, Maryland, on November 21, 2022. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Eva E. Marsh and Richard J. Berry, Sr; her brother, Richard J. Berry, and husband Rudolph "Rudy" Fonseca. Marion is survived by her daughter Lori Sebastian, grandson Jason Rasmussen and great-grandson Dane Rasmussen. Marion's stepchildren include Elizabeth D'Errico (Herman) of Lodi, New Jersey, Rudolph Fonseca (Marie) of Port Orange, Florida, Doreen Arscott (Bob) of Huntingtown, Maryland, and Gail Fanelli (Joe) of Olney, Maryland. Marion had seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Marion was born at home in Oxon Hill, Maryland. She attended and graduated from Oxon Hill High School and began working at the Government Printing Office. From there, Marion worked for Brinks Armored Car Company, where she prepared the weekly payrolls (during the early 50s, many employees were paid in cash) carefully counting out each employee's pay. In later years, Marion worked side by side with her husband, Rudy, at their company, Fraternal Tours Planners; they arranged and escorted trips internationally and here in the United States. Marion was a 59-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron for Unity Chapter #112. Marion and Rudy loved fraternal organizations and served as local and state officers. Marion was also a 52-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve. Marion lived her life fully and was especially happy when surrounded by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Shriner's hospital, as Marion held that organization dear to her heart. Interment Arlington National Cemetery Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Please arrive at the administration building by 1:15 p.m.
