Marion M. Starkweather - Obituary

arion Louise (MacKenzie) Starkweather, 92 of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Manchester, CT beloved wife of the late Robert W. Starkweather passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Marion was born in Gorham, NH, October 18, 1924 daughter of the late Donald and Thelma (Gatchell) MacKenzie and lived in Annapolis since 2010, previously living in Florida for 20 years. Marion resided in Manchester from 1943-1983 and was employed for 20 years at the former SNET retiring in 1971 as Assisted Chief Operator. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Branford and also an active supporter and volunteer for the church. Marion is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Reager and her husband, Ronald of Annapolis, MD, two grandchildren, Matthew Zilinskas and his wife, Michele of Pennsylvania , Christy Baldrate and husband, Brian of Virginia, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Nancy Raymer of Vernon, CT and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Geri Sparveri. Funeral services will be Friday, May 12 at 11 am at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester, Connecticut. Burial will follow in East Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday May 11, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
