arjorie Ann Dykton nee Jacobson, age 92, of Forestville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at her home. Born on May 2, 1928, in Black River Falls, WI, she was a daughter of the late Hansel and Agnes (Thompson) Jacobson and grew up in Pigeon Falls, WI. After her high school graduation, she moved to Washington DC where she worked for the U.S. Post Office, before raising her family. Her husband, Thomas Michael Dykton, predeceased her. Marge loved life and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an avid quilter, incredible baker, member of the Ladies of Charity, volunteer at Forestville Pregnancy Center for eight years, and a parishioner of Mt. Calvary Catholic Church for 58 years. She had the best laugh and a great sense of humor. Loving mother of Marjorie (Michael) McCawley of Morgantown, WV; Marilyn Jacobs of Silver Spring, MD; Michael (Theresa) Dykton of Severn, MD; Christopher (John Monnett) Dykton of Arlington, VA; Elizabeth (Rose Kurtz) Dykton of Baltimore, MD; and Janet (Jan Zanger) Dykton of Woodbine, MD. Sister of Elizabeth Jacobson of Minneapolis, MN; Roger Jacobson of Phoenix, AZ; and Shirley (Angelo) Munoz of Beloit, WI, and the late Jeanette (late Leonard) Caracciolo, Robert (late Revee) Jacobson, Irene (late Leo) Chevalier, and Richard (late Mary) Jacobson. Sister-in-law of Michalene (late Richard) Krzeminski and late Helen (late Charles Raymond) Burg. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and aunt of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Mt. Calvary Ladies of Charity, 6700 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD 20742 Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Catholic Church, 6700 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, MD 20747. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. Please meet at the Administration Building with one's own transportation, a mask and photo ID at 10:15 a.m.
