Marjorie Ricker - Obituary

arjorie Elizabeth Ricker, age 90, of Ocean City, and formerly of Greenbelt, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. Born in Albion, Michigan on February 3, 1922, she attended Albion High School, graduating in 1940. She left Michigan and moved to Maryland in 1942, where she began her career in the railroad industry at Washington Terminal Company, later working for Penn Central Railroad, and eventually retiring from Amtrak as a ticketing supervisor. In 1946, she married Donald F. Ricker. Marjorie was a member of St. Andrew’s and St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City. She enjoyed needlepoint and cross stitching, was an avid reader, and loved discussing politics. In addition to being predeceased by her husband, Marjorie is preceded in death by two sons, Michael J. Ricker and Andrew J. Ricker. She is survived by her son David Ricker and his wife Kathy of Dunkirk; three grandchildren, Michael John Ricker of Crofton, Megan E. Repass of Germantown, and Heidi A. Ricker of Arlington, VA; and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 28 at 12pm at St. Mary of the Assumption, 14908 Main Street, Upper Marlboro, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, P.O.
