arjorie "Margie" Webb, 93, of Annapolis, died February 21 at home. Born January 3, 1921 in Baltimore to the late James and Julia Elizabeth Ogden . Margie was raised in Crownsville with her seven siblings. During World War II, Margie worked at Ft. Meade sanding and painting trucks for deployment. After the war she, married and raised a family. She enjoyed dancing, crabbing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Webb whom she married in 1945 and who died in 1996; six siblings, Lavinia Lowery, Elizabeth Sternhagen, Lola O'Neill, James Byron Ogden, Melva Mills and Regina Franklin; and one great-grand daughter, Claudia Marquess.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (David) Benson and Sharon (Peanut) Ward , both of Annapolis; one sister Dorothy Wood of West River; five grandchildren, Travis (Harriet) and Ty (Tara) Marquess, Jeff(Carolyn) and Scott Ward, and Lorrie Marlett; and six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Lexi, Owen and Brayden Marquess, Garrett and Aubrey Ward.
Friends are invited to Margie's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday February 25 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Road Edgewater where her funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday February 26. Interment Baldwin United Methodist Church Cemetery.
