Mark Stephen Demoss - Obituary

ark Stephen Demoss, 61, a 3-year resident of Landover, MD and previously of Odenton passed away on August 29, 2023. Born on December 20, 1961 in Wilmington, DE to the late Gordon Demoss and Gertrude Morgan, he graduated from Newark High School in 1980. Mark worked in the food and service industry throughout his life. He dedicated the last 20 years at Old Ebbitt Grill in Washington DC, and was previously employed at Blackies House of Beef for 10 years and Phillips Seafood for 10 years. He loved cooking and preparing food for his family and friends. Mark is survived by his brothers, Greg Morgan of Frankford, DE and Jerry Morgan of Easton, MD; nieces and nephews, Dallas, Harley, Kalli, Bryan, Jake, Andrea, and Emerson Morgan; his step-father, Gerald Morgan; and his sister-in-law, Lisa Morgan. The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Clyde’s Team Member Emergency Fund in memory of Mark Demoss, checks payable to Greater Washington Community Foundation, PO Box 49010, Baltimore, MD 21297-4910.
