Mark Harrington - Obituary

ark Lee Harrington, 54, a lifelong resident of Riva, died unexpectedly September 15, 2011 at his home. He was born March 16, 1957 to Lee and Ann Harrington of Riva and was the owner and operator of Lee’s Used Car Towing. He attended Edgewater United Methodist Church and quietly practiced his faith through his willingness to always help others. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who also enjoyed gardening and crabbing. His greatest passion though was being a father and grandfather. He treasured the time he spent with his family. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Chip) Cates of Annapolis and Jessica (Richard) McDermott of Riva; one brother, Kenny (Barbara) Harrington of Davidsonville; five grandchildren, Logan, Julia and Annabella Cates and Richard and Marcus McDermott; one nephew, Kenny Harrington and one niece, Jennifer Rossbeck. Friends are invited to Mark’s Life Celebration on Sunday, September 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Edgewater United Methodist Church, 2768 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment private.
