Martha Patricia Grimes - Obituary

artha Patricia Grimes of Churchton, MD passed peacefully from this earth at her home on Monday, November 20. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Martha was the youngest child of the late Kent Davis and Anne Tellefsen. She worked as a secretary in the oncology department of Children's Hospital in Washington, DC, with the Woodland Beach Community Church in Edgewater, MD, and with American Field Services in Annapolis, where she enjoyed hosting foreign exchange students. Most importantly, Martha excelled at being a stay-at-home mom. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert Grimes; her daughters, Rachel and Rebecca Grimes; and her sisters, Karen Davis of Jacksonville, FL, and Kathy Bailey of Aurora, CO. Martha was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Davis. Friends are invited to celebrate Martha's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, on Saturday, November 25, from noon until her funeral service begins at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or Cedar Grove Methodist Church, 5965 Deale Churchton Rd, Deale, MD 20751.
