Martha Louise Haschert - Obituary

artha Louise Haschert, 68, a 37-year resident of Edgewater, Maryland and previously of Annapolis and Pennsylvania passed away on December 30, 2025 at her home after a 5-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born on November 17, 1957 in Widnoon, Pennsylvania to the late James F. and Laura B. Colwell, Martha graduated high school before entering the workforce, where she worked for Chesapeake Tag and Title and had a 38-year career with Nationwide Insurance. She was a parishioner at Parkwood Methodist Church. In her spare time, she loved to do puzzles and crossword searches, crafting, gardening, and collecting knick-knacks. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brother, James Colwell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Charles Haschert; her sons, Jason Haschert and Justin (Wink) Haschert, both of Maryland; and her sisters, Lorreta Hall of Florida and Linda Ibert of New Orleans. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Martha’s life on Saturday, March 28 at 12 noon at the South River Park Community Clubhouse, 1410 Circle Drive, Edgewater, MD 21037.
