Mary Pauline Abasto - Obituary

t is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Pauline Abasto (Tump), which occurred on November 20, 2019 at the age of 98 at her home in Stafford VA. A Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary was born on May 19, 1921 in Halifax VA to Henry and Irene Overby. She is survived by her three daughters Deborah Kennedy, Nancy Breeden and Carolyn Boyd and four sons, Charles Boyd, Johnny Breeden, Len Breeden and Calvin Boyd; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother, Henry and Irene Overby; her three daughters, Donna Sarns, Barbara Boyd, Mary Katherine Boyd and three sons Richard Boyd, Pete Boyd and James Boyd. Mary had 98 years of a beautiful life on this earth. She was a loving, stucky, hardworking, encouraging woman and she also made a lasting impact on many lives.She loved to garden and was proud of her roses. She could always bring a plant back to life. She always had a smile on her face even at the end. She enjoyed the times she had with each and everyone of her loved ones. The funeral service will be at Kalas Funeral Home at 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill MD 20745. We will be accepting family and friends on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 10am-11am with her service following at 11am. A graveside service will be held immediately after at Cedar Hill Cemetery at 4111 Pennsylvania Ave, Suitland MD 20746.
