Mary Alcamo - Obituary

ary Audrey Alcamo, 80, a 2-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Bordentown and Hillsdale, NJ, died peacefully on February 12, 2009 in Annapolis, MD. Born January 21, 1929 in Baltimore, MD, she was an avid sports fan and enjoyed sewing, following and discussing current events, and spending treasured time with her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Alcamo, whom she married on February 15, 1952; she is survived by one son, Robert and his wife Elizabeth of Bethlehem, PA, and two daughters, Linda Genna and her husband Michael of Edgewater, MD and Joyce Esker and her husband Walter of Upton, MA; one sister, Jean Sachs and her husband Fred of Rosedale, MD. She was also the grandmother of Lori, Matthew and Lisa Genna, Alicia, Christina and Nicole Alcamo, Wally, Brandon and Stephanie Esker. Friends are invited to Mrs. Alcamo's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, February 17 from 10am until time of service at 11:30am. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
