Mary Alice Butler - Obituary

ary Alice Butler, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, died on Friday, February 27, 2015, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was 86. Born February 22, 1929 in Annapolis to the late James A. and Tempa Ridout, she worked as a clerk for the Maryland Tax Division until her retirement. She enjoyed flowers and visits from family. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Butler; two brothers, Webster Egbert and James Atlee Ridout, Jr. She is survived by three sons, John Wilber (Cathy) Butler, Jr. of Edgewater, James Michael (Teresa) Butler of Columbia and Richard David Butler of Annapolis; a daughter, Gwenda Lynn (David) Butler of Amarillo, Texas; eight grandchildren, John III, Ryan, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Daniel, James, Laura and Christopher; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 3 from 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater.
