Mary Palmer Chin, of Owings, Maryland, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, March 5, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.  Beloved wife of Raymond Chin; mother of Neil Thompson (Lindsey) and Noah Chin; grandmother of Nathan and Grant Thompson.  Mary is also survived by her mother, Rita Palmer, and her 5 brothers: Joe (Trish), Dan, Jim (David), Ed (Maureen) and Doug; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Chin and in-laws, 
scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, whose door was always open to all.  She loved the beach, entertaining, playing board games, and spending time with her two precious grandsons.  She enjoyed a 30-year career with the United States Census Bureau and was a dedicated member of the Covenant Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Owings, MD.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Palmer, Jr and her father-in-law, Tin Fook Chin.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1601 W Mt Harmony Rd, Owings, MD 20736, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mary, may be contributed to Loyola on the Potomac Retreat House, Faulkner, MD or to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
