ary Paule Ruel Clark, “Mary Paule”, 88, a 2-year resident of Country Home Assisted Living in Harwood and previously of Falls Church, VA for 32 years, died of natural causes on August 2, 2011.
Born July 10, 1923 in Quebec City, Canada, she attended high school at Academie Mallet and then the Bart School in Quebec, Canada and 3 years at the American Banking School. From 1967 to 1994, she worked in the banking industry, specializing in U.S. Treasury Bonds and commercial loans. Her first husband, the late Narciso Soriano, served in the armed forces and Mary Paule travelled with him to England and Spain where she was a Red Cross volunteer. She was a member of Fort Myer Chapel in Arlington, VA and the retired officer association. She enjoyed playing golf and swimming.
She was also predeceased by her 2nd husband, Capt. Earl N. Clark, who died in 1992.
Mary Paule is survived by 5 nieces, Diane Ruel of St. Emile, Canada, Suzanne Ruel Bedard of Quebec, Canada, Helene Ruel of Quebec, Canada, Karen R. Rotolone of Edgewater, MD and Rita M. Ruel of Churchton, MD and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends are invited to Mary Paule’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, August 6 from 3pm until time of funeral at 4pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Quebec, Canada.
